Parlour Nouveau Changelog

The nature of Parlour Nouveau is as an ever-evolving game. As such, it is always tricky to compare scores between different versions of the game.

Here's how to intpret the Version Number:

Major Version Number.Content Number.Minor Version Number
If the Major Version Number increases, it means it is worth your time to visit again as there's been enough content added to warrant a revisit.
Every time the Content Number increases, new puzzles or game mechanics have been added.
Finally, the Minor Version Number indicates scoring or pedantic changes, like rules edits or modifications that could impact a player's score.

For the purposes of comparison, the changelog is as such:

  • Buff: New Moons now Open as moon slates, and may be used at player's will instead of when scoring.
  • Nerf: 38 is now deliberately deceptively presented for comedic effect.
  • Glass Puzzle made easier, ambiguity has been removed.
  • Castle solution made clearer.
  • Teams now informed that the solver is used in every puzzle.
  • Flashlight now available for Teams.

  • Eternal Slates now permit card trade-outs.
  • Teams now select the decks they will use.
  • Limited Edition Golden Club Chits removed. New players will still be in the Golden Club, but will not get commemorative chits.
  • Leaderboard now full. New teams will overwrite scores of previous teams, starting with the oldest.
  • Teams may now purchase strategy tips for 2 chips.
  • Timer controls added via foot petal; Puzzlemaster can now pause the game more quickly.
  • Added Nertz and Skull as afterparty games. (Only offered if time permits)

  • Beta testing most mechanics for 2.0.
  • New Item:Golden Deck
  • Buff: Puzzlemaster now permits Bump Slate use after round timer has expired, like Wild and Score slates.

  • Parlour Nouveau Moved. Puzzalarium now claims the entire back nook of Serpentine Cider as dominion.
